The skin is the largest organ in your body.  The best way to take care of your skin is treat inside and outside of the body.

Some skin conditioning treatments may not reach deep enough into the body to help heal the skin.  They may make skin conditions worse.  It could be necessary to take an internal nourishing oil or some herbs.  It may also be necessary to change your diet.  If you need detailed help with your skin condition please see a qualified naturopath, herbalist, or Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner.  You may need to consider boosting your immune system and helping the body release toxins.

Moisturising the skin on the outside

There are many products that can assist with moisturising the skin.  Here are my favorites and why I’ve chosen to pop them into a handy blend for you.

Hemp Seed Oil Certified Organic

Hemp seed oil has a comodogenic rating of 0, meaning it does not clog pores at all, so your skin can still breathe.  This makes it a great moisturiser for all skin types. The rich omega 3 & 6 fatty acids in hemp seed oil help alleviate and soothe dryness as well as help create a protective barrier over the skin which prevents moisture loss.

It’s astringent properties balance sebum production of the skin thereby producing a less greasy feeling on the skin.

Rich in antioxidants, hemp seed oil is a powerful anti-aging natural ingredient for smooth wrinkle-free skin. Hemp seed oil helps improves the skin’s elasticity and water retention in the skin’s tissues thereby keeping skin supple & youthful.

I mentioned above that you may need to take an internal oil for your skin condition.  Well, hemp is great for that too.  Make sure you purchase a Certified Hemp Oil grown locally.  Internal consumption of hemp seed oil helps regulate hormones and may assist with dry maturing skin.

Sweet Almond Oil

As a mild, hypoallergenic oil, it’s safe for sensitive skin, including baby skin.

Its antioxidative properties, sweet almond oil is known for protecting skin against UV radiation damage and keeping skin soft and supple.  Almond oil has a light texture and easily absorbs into skin.

This is one of the soothing properties of palma rosa essential oil. It helps your body retain the moisture in the tissues and maintains the moisture balance throughout the body. Therefore, this can relieve inflammation and certain other symptoms of dehydration and is particularly good for the skin. It keeps the skin soft, moist, and looking young.
